PS3, Perhaps X360 - ASSASSINS CREED
Well this game came out of nowhere. Developed by the Prince of Persia Sands of Time team, the game is set during the Third Crusades in the streets of Jerusalem, Acre and other towns.
The main Character named Altair is a member of a assassin cult which is intent on ending the war by whatever it takes.
Yeah ok this is a CG trailer im showing but it gives you a good idea of the games setting and there is no gameplay footage for me to upload yet.
Impressively this game is set in complete free roaming citys 3 to be precise. Since it is being created by frenchies, the game character will incorporate freerunning which has swept france into his movements. Apparently any object that sticks out more then 2 inches (ooooh) can be used for climbing. Animation is supposedly super sweet having been totally drawn by hand.
Another big thing is the fact that there are large crowds in the city streets for realism. They can become alerted by your activites as they would in real life. You can use them for escaping or whatever. Push them out the way I say.
Anyways basically you gotsta assassinate someone and how to do it is upto you. The game has some RPG elements to it that allow you to improve your characters abilities. Go to Gamespot for more.
Open-ended gameplay, do what you like, either stealth or just walk and kill whatever. Subquests, alliances, secrets. This is a free-roaming game and it looks pimp.
